  1. What do you use a blood knot for? I think I’m missing the part of my brain that remembers knot tying. It’s the one thing I struggle with no matter how often I practice.

    • Hi! A blood knot (often referred to as a barrel knot) is perfect for joining two lines together without losing the strength of the lines themselves. If tied properly, the knot will not slip. While this knot is most commonly used in fishing, it is also great to know for survival (that whole “strength” thing). Hope that helps!
